Top Film & TV Apps on Android in Central America: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, several Film & Television apps on the Android platform showed notable performance trends in Central America. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the leading apps and their key metrics.

Cinépolis saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at about 43K and experiencing a dip before peaking at 76K by the end of March. The app maintained a robust weekly active user base, beginning at 2.2M and ending the quarter at a similar level, despite mid-quarter declines.

Cinépolis Go showed impressive growth in downloads, jumping from 168K to 530K in the last week of March. Correspondingly, the active user count increased from 160K to 637K, indicating a strong engagement.

TodayTix – Theatre Tickets had modest download numbers, ranging from 369 to a peak of 1.3K. The active user count also saw a gradual increase, reaching 3K towards the end of the quarter.

Cinépolis El Salvador, launched in late February, recorded downloads from 1.2K to 1.5K by the end of March, marking a steady entry into the market.
